Responsibilities:
- Develop, test, and maintain application features under the guidance of senior developers.
- Implement web application functionality using Java and/or Python and modern frameworks.
- Support integration of application components with APIs, services, and databases.
- Assist with GIS-enabled feature development and geospatial service enhancements.
- Participate in code reviews, unit testing, debugging, and documentation.
- Apply secure coding practices and follow established engineering standards.
- Contribute within sprint cycles as part of a cross-functional Agile team.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline (equivalent experience accepted).
- 0–3 years of professional software development experience.
- Experience developing software using Java, Python, or both (academic, internship, or professional).
- Familiarity with web application development concepts and technologies.
- Understanding of relational databases and basic data modeling principles.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work effectively within a team.
- Security Clearance (TS/SCI) with willingness to undergo polygraph examination.
Desired:
Exposure to GIS technologies (ArcGIS, GeoServer, OpenLayers, Cesium, or similar).
Familiarity with Git, CI/CD, or containerization tools.
Coursework or projects involving Agile development practices.
Experience using geospatial software such as Esri ArcGIS Pro / ArcGIS Enterprise and related APIs.

The proposed salary range for this position is:
$53,100-$106,300
