The Role and Impact As an AI Software Solutions Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in developing and optimizing AI-based solutions that enhance the performance and adoption of Intel products. On a day-to-day basis, you will work closely with internal engineering teams and external partners to prototype, implement, and refine cutting-edge AI models and software. Your expertise in AI frameworks and hardware optimization will directly contribute to delivering impactful solutions that drive innovation and excellence in the AI domain.
Business group You'll be joining Intel's Software and Advanced Technology Group, a dynamic team focused on building and enabling AI solutions and tools that leverage Intel's leading-edge hardware and software capabilities. This group fosters collaboration and innovation, providing the technical foundation for Intel's broader mission to empower tomorrow's technology leaders and advance the capabilities of AI across industries.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with internal and external teams to design and implement optimized AI models and solutions using Intel products.
- Prototype and develop AI software including open-source libraries and models tailored for Intel's hardware features.
- Research technical trends and utilize domain expertise to enhance the performance of deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch and TensorFlow.
- Optimize AI algorithms, models, and related hardware to improve efficiency and functionality.
- Debug and resolve technical issues related to AI software and frameworks, delivering innovative solutions.
- Partner with Intel's software and hardware development teams to drive product enhancements and readiness for AI and HPC domains.
- Develop competitive benchmark collateral and identify key workloads to influence product design and requirements.
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Software Engineering, Machine Learning) with 0-1 years of hands-on experience in AI solutions development, gained through internships, academic projects, coursework, or hands-on training, OR a Master's degree in a relevant field with no prior professional experience.
- Proficiency in Python and/or C++.
- Experience with deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow, and working with CPUs, GPUs, or AI accelerators.
- Foundational knowledge of computer architecture, compilers, operating systems, and computer networks.
Preferred Qualifications
- Hands-on experience optimizing deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow.
- Familiarity with inference-serving frameworks like vLLM or SGLang.
- Strong problem-solving, technical, and software debugging skills.
- Effective communication skills to collaborate across diverse teams and projects.
