Job Responsibilities
- Assist in developing backend services using Java and Spring Boot
- Support implementation of REST APIs and microservices architecture
- Work on event-driven integrations using Kafka (basic exposure / learning)
- Participate in various phases of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
- Assist in API integration, data transformation, and middleware flows
- Support debugging, defect fixing, and troubleshooting activities
- Contribute to technical documentation (API specs, design)
- Work closely with development, QA, and DevOps teams
- Participate in code reviews and learning sessions
Job Requirements
Education & Certification
- Higher Nitec, Diploma or Degree in IT related courses
- Applicant must be a full-time matriculated student
Experience
- Hands-on development experience and can demonstrate strong understanding of fundamentals of requirements specification, design, coding, and testing of information systems
- Experienced with the usage of Software design patterns
- Some Experience In the usage of Java Spring boot, Camel.
- Some Experience in using Confluent KAFKA.
- Some Experience in the usages of RDBMS – MS SQL Server.
- Some Experience in REST based APIs using JSON and web services
- Experienced in using version control systems –Git, Github or ADO.
Other prerequisites
- Applies well-defined and disciplined development, implementation, and production processes.
- Proven & demonstrable hands-on experience in developing high-availability, multi-tiered and secure web applications
- Good debugging and trouble shooting skills. Must have worked on IDEs – STS, IntelliJ, VSCode.
