We are looking for a student who is currently studying in or near Graz and is keen to put their theoretical knowledge into practice by supporting our automotive NFC Customer Application engineering team. This part-time position focuses primarily on Python-based software tooling, with additional exposure to embedded development in C. You will work alongside experienced engineers and contribute to real-world automotive projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain internal software tools in Python
- Support embedded software development in C
- Collaborate with engineers on design, implementation, and testing
- Participate in code reviews and team discussions
- Work with development tools such as Git and Jira
- Perform occasional hardware-related tasks (e.g., soldering, setups)
Profile Requirements:
- Ongoing enrollment in a relevant technical degree (e.g. Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information and Computer Engineering, Informatics, Biomedical Engineering or similar)
- Knowledge of Python (primary focus) and C
- Interest in embedded systems and related tooling
- Familiarity with Git and Jira is an advantage
- Good command of English
- Availability of at least 18 hours per week on average

The minimum salary for this position is EUR 2.800,- gross/month for full-time equivalent at NXP Austria.
