Job Description:
We are looking for a Sr. Java Developer with IES experience to support Java coding and development for web applications, complex SQL development, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis.
Required Skills:
- 3+ years of development experience with Java 6.0 and J2EE application components, including JSP, Custom Tag Libraries, JavaScript, Session EJBs, JDBC, etc.
- Experience working with Java Integrated Development Environments (IDEs), preferably RAD 7.5 or above
- Strong knowledge of Object-Oriented Analysis and Design
- Experience with design patterns such as Singleton, Factory, and DAO
- Strong understanding of MVC architecture
- Experience developing Batch Jobs and Web Services
- Experience with IBM WebSphere Application Server 8.0
- Experience with WAS 8.0 running in a SUSE Linux 11 environment (VMware) is a plus
- Strong experience with relational databases
- Ability to write complex SQL statements and queries
- Experience with DB2 and Oracle
- Strong troubleshooting and Root Cause Analysis skills
- Good communication skills
Responsibilities:
- Develop, enhance, and maintain enterprise web applications using Java/J2EE technologies.
- Perform hands-on Java coding and application development.
- Develop and maintain application components using JSP, EJBs, JDBC, JavaScript, and Custom Tag Libraries.
- Design and develop batch jobs and web services.
- Write, analyze, and optimize complex SQL queries using DB2 and Oracle.
- Troubleshoot application issues and perform detailed root cause analysis.
- Apply Object-Oriented Design principles and established design patterns.
- Work within MVC-based application architectures.
- Support application testing, debugging, deployment, and production issue resolution.
- Collaborate with technical teams to analyze requirements and deliver effective solutions.

- Prior IES experience
- IBM WebSphere Application Server 8.0
- SUSE Linux 11
- VMware environment
- DB2 and Oracle
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
