Engineering Team: As a Software Engineer Intern at StackAdapt, you will be directly involved in the development of our advertising platform, producing production level code that will have a direct impact on the success of our product. You will work with large data sets and have exposure to modern tech stacks around GoLang and more. StackAdapt's engineering organization believes in working collaboratively and cross functionally.

What you'll be doing:
• Take ownership of product solutions by utilizing a variety of systems and technologies
• Build new and enhance existing product capabilities for internal and external users
• Solve complex problems and write scalable and efficient software
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other developers to drive our product to the next level
• Contribute to code reviews, technical architecture, design documentations, and solving technical issues
What you'll bring to the table:
• Previous internship experience where you've worked on building web applications on a full-stack basis with at least one of Python, Ruby, or Javascript
• Must be currently enrolled in a Computer Science, Software Engineering or similar program at a post-secondary institution
• Knowledge of our full-stack technologies is highly preferred - Ruby on Rails, React, Redux, Javascript, Material UI, Typescript, GraphQL
• Strong understanding of scalable system design for web-based APIs and backend processing systems
• Strong problem solving skills in data structures, algorithms, and code optimization
• Ability to identify and tackle areas that may produce technical debt, to ensure code quality
• Experience working with relational databases and key-value stores
• Experience with test-driven development
The compensation range listed for this role reflects the expected hourly rate for candidates located in Ontario, Canada. It is informed by market data and the approved budget for this position. StackAdapt maintains different compensation ranges for roles across other countries and regions, and final offers will be aligned to the candidate's current location.
This range represents hourly rate only. Depending on the role, candidates may also be eligible for additional compensation such as annual bonuses, commissions, equity awards, and a comprehensive benefits package.
Factors Influencing Final Compensation:
• The final compensation offer will be determined by a variety of factors, which may include, but are not limited to: the candidate's specific experience, technical skills, knowledge, abilities, and relevant education, licensure, and certifications.
• Other business factors, such as organizational needs and budget alignment, may also be considered in the final offer.
