Ready to be part of the experience?
Now, let's discuss this role and what you will do to help achieve Fever's mission.
About the role
As a Junior Data Engineer, you'll be part of the team responsible for designing and delivering the data products that power Fever's partner ecosystem — from real-time APIs and dashboards to data exports and automated reports. Our teams leverage modern data platforms (Snowflake, DBT, Airflow, Superset, DataHub, etc.) while developing our own technology to deliver high-quality, reliable, and scalable data products across multiple business domains.
You'll work at the crossroads of engineering, product, and business, learning to translate complex requirements into elegant and maintainable solutions that create real impact for our clients and internal teams.
What You'll Do
• Develop a deep understanding of Fever's backend systems and data models, learning the logic and transformations that connect business processes to data representations.
• Collaborate with Product Managers, Project Managers, and business stakeholders to translate ideas and reporting needs into clear technical requirements and data structures.
• Develop and optimize ETL/ELT workflows using Python, DBT, Airflow, and Snowflake, with a focus on scalability, maintainability, and reliability.
• Contribute to the design, build, and maintenance of partner-facing data products, including APIs (real-time and batch), dashboards, webhooks, and file-based exports.
• Help ensure that all data delivered to partners is accurate, consistent, and aligned with the underlying business context.
• Contribute to the architecture, testing, and observability of our data ecosystem, promoting best practices and automation wherever possible.
• Grow your ownership progressively — from scoping and designing to implementing and shipping solutions in close collaboration with cross-functional teams.
• Support the evolution of Fever's data mesh, helping domain teams design data products that follow common engineering and governance standards.
What You Bring
• Fluent in Spanish and English; you'll communicate in Spanish with local teams and in English with global teams.
• A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Data Engineering, or a related field — strong academic foundations are key for this role.
• 2 years of professional or project-based experience in data engineering or a related field.
• Solid foundations in Python and SQL; exposure to or eagerness to learn tools like Airflow, DBT, and Snowflake (or similar technologies).
• A good understanding of data modeling fundamentals and how software systems generate and expose data.
• Academic or hands-on project experience building data pipelines or data products — internships, university projects, or personal work all count.
• Good communication and collaboration skills — you're able to work with both technical and non-technical people.
• Eagerness to take ownership, learn fast, and grow in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with version control (Git) and an interest in software engineering best practices (CI/CD, testing, observability).
Nice to Have
• Exposure to real-time data platforms such as Tinybird or ClickHouse.
• Familiarity with domains like B2B, Marketing, or Partner Reporting.
• Exposure to streaming or near-real-time data (Kafka, Kinesis, etc.).
