As a Tax Innovation - Data Engineer - Associate, you will be at the forefront of developing innovative software solutions that drive digital transformation and enhance business performance. Within our Tax practice, you will leverage your technical skills and creative thinking to design, code, and test cutting-edge applications that revolutionize industries and deliver exceptional user experiences. As an Associate, you will focus on learning and contributing to client engagement and projects while developing your skills and knowledge to deliver quality work. You will be exposed to clients to learn how to build meaningful client connections, manage and inspire others, and grow your personal brand by deepening your technical knowledge of firm services and technology resources.

Responsibilities
- Developing innovative software solutions to drive digital transformation and enhance business performance
- Designing, coding, and testing applications to deliver exceptional user experiences
- Applying PySpark, Python, SQL, and Databricks programming skills to create efficient and scalable software products alongside using Genie and other AI capabilities on Databricks
- Collaborating with team members to navigate varying challenges and scopes in a fast-paced environment
- Taking ownership of tasks and consistently delivering quality work that drives value for clients
- Building a personal brand by contributing reliably to team projects and client engagements
- Analyzing information from diverse sources to discern patterns and inform software development
- Learning and applying professional and technical standards to uphold the firm's code of conduct and independence requirements
What You Must Have
- At least a Bachelor's degree in one of the following fields of study: Accounting, Information Technology, Engineering, Commerce MBA (finance related), M.Com
- At least 1-2.5 years of experience
- Oral and written proficiency in English required
What Sets You Apart
Skills Required
• Having strong Data Engineering skills to design and build scalable and enterprise grade data pipelines utilizing PySpark, Python, SQL, and Databricks.
• Having a strong technical background and experience on the Databricks platform with a strong understanding of workflows, DLT, Asset Bundles, Unity catalog, Genie, etc.
• Having good understanding and extensive experience in Azure including but not limited to Azure cloud, Azure DevOps, Azure Storage and Data Services
• Having deep understanding of Data modeling techniques and Architectures like Delta Lake, DWH and Lakehouse architecture.
• Experience setting up CI/CD, automated testing and version control for fast and reliable deployments.
• Experience in ML techniques, RAG and Agentic frameworks like Langchain, LangGraph, etc.
• Solid understanding of Distributed systems, and experience with Apache Spark framework
• Experience with Genie and other AI capabilities on Databricks is highly desirable.
